Destination Vacation: Rambler Garden Hotel, Hong Kong

           Destination Vacation posts are my blog's special editions since these posts talk about my one-week vacation in Hong Kong and Macau. Everything we did such as, places we went and food we tasted are all listed and featured in Destination Vacation posts. Please allow me to tour you around two (2) of the famous places in the Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Macau.
           It was dinner time when we arrived at Rambler Garden Hotel by tourist bus, almost 30 minutes from Hong Kong International Airport. We were terribly hungry due to long lines at the Immigration area at the airport, so we decided to buy foods at the hotel. One thing I noticed, the outside area of the hotel was tremendously neat and clean. The inside of the hotel has wide area and long front desk, and Wifi here is not free. We paid HK$50 for the internet, quite expensive though.

       Right after eating our dinner from downstairs, we hurriedly went up to our respective rooms to lay down and watch tv. To our surprise, the double bed rooms we reserved did not appear as we expected. All were single bed rooms. Well, to solve the simple problem we went down again to the receiving area and presented to them our problems. Unfortunately, all rooms we reserved for ourselves were indeed double bed rooms. Well, whether we like it or not we have to share because the hotel was all occupied. In fairness to the hotel, the room is very clean and well-maintained and it has a very nice and sophisticated comfort room with hot and cold shower. Each room has small colored tv with only few channels available including two (2) English channels. Anyway, we came here to stay out all day and will be in hotel to sleep late.
            At 7 o'clock in the morning, elevators were already busy because people started to come out and went down for breakfast.

             The outside view from our window are loads of container vans. We noticed, they work 24/7 and very busy loading and unloading the colorful vans using the giant cranes, but of course they did not bother our sleep anyway.

                Below are some of the photos I took from our main door. There tall commercial buildings in front of us, such as hotels and condominium. I remember our tourist guide told us that Chinese people are very dependent on Feng Shui. Their buildings must be constructed near the mountains or running waters, and much better if near both. This is for the reason that Feng Shui guides a person or business towards acquiring abundance of money and having good health.

         Like any other hotels, our hotel rooms  come with free breakfast. Cafe de Coral is the name of the restaurant located at the ground floor. There are three (3) options to choose from to pair with your toasted bread and unseasoned scrambled egg:  two (2) sausages, two (2) slices of spam, and corned beef. You can also get salt, hot sauce, and sugar at the other table near the counter. Hot chocolate or hot coffee are available for breakfast. Plastic knife, spoon, fork and table napkins are readily provided along with the food. Well, we only have 45 minutes to eat, so have to eat double time. According to our tour guide, Hong Kong people move faster than Filipino people. So, I guess we have to be like them while we are here in Hong Kong, always on the go.
