Morning exercise around Rafael Salas Park and Nature Center

Some of us woke up as early as 4 o'clock in the second morning to continue writing the research output because everyone was tasked to present their output by 10 am. For our group, instead of cramming just like the others, we opted to take a walk as a morning exercise within and outside the Rafael Salas Park and Nature Center.
This is the garden full of calla lilies surrounding the stairs going up the monument

As we walked around, I noticed there are plenty of calla lilies both red and white ones. There are a lot trees and most of them I don't recognize. I love the fresh, cold air and the place was very clean. Then one of us suggested to get out of the park for a quick stroll, just to make sure we will be back before 10 am.

These are the flowers of a common tree here. Again, I do not know the name of the tree. When I asked the janitor cleaning up the ground he too was not sure of the tree's name.

Well, we still had much time left before the oral presentation, so we agreed to go down approximately a kilometer away from the park and to take pictures as well.

At the opposite side of the saplings are the roosters owned by some locals here

So, it was time to go back to the hotel and get our laptop ready for the presentation. I love this nature park, though. It was quiet, cold, and the cock crowing in the morning which you could hardly hear in the middle of the city. This is a great place to unwind, and to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city. These are some of the good reasons why I like this place.
Well, who says you can't find time to relax while in the middle of the work?

More pictures to share and stories to confess next time!

Truly, more fun in the Philippines!

Until next time, God bless!
