It was an unplanned lunch when we thought of going to Pahanocoy to try the healthy Eat-All-You-Can lunch at the new organic restaurant owned by Ramon Uy. This was my second time to visit the place, yet this was my first time to dine and try their buffet. We came in a little bit earlier than the usual lunch time because we knew a lot of health conscious individuals come here for lunch. Luckily, we were able to choose a nice spot inside the open restaurant, an area where the display of foods was just next to us. Indeed, early birds get the best spot to eat their foods! The picture above shows the streamer hung at the back entrance of the open restaurant.
The Open Restaurant
The photo below shows the big open restaurant in the area. The area was very windy, so no need for the customers to worry to be humid in the middle of the day. After a few minutes of our arrival, the restaurant was already filled with families who are eager to eat. Their children were effortlessly picking up their own choice of vegetables and organic meat to their plates while we were patiently waiting in line, hungry and excited.

That's Tita Miriam Tagamolila who tried to gather almost all of the foods she liked to eat. Like her, everyone here wanted to try everything which were displayed on the table. Although these were vegetables but they looked delicious and tempting for all of us.
There were various types of vegetable soups, organic meat such as chicken and beef, fresh vegetable salads, fresh juices and smoothies, and fruit shakes to choose from.
As for me, I made sure that I will be getting all the veggies because I can seldom eat vegetable dishes especially during week days. This could be a great opportunity for me to go green and healthy at least once a week. In addition, they automatically filled up the big containers if in case the foods ran out, so no need for us to worry!
The Foods
These were my foods. For the first round, I got myself a fried fish, sweet and jackfruit salad or locally known as ensaladang langka, monggo beans with green leaves and steamed rice. I also ordered a fresh guyabano smoothie for the day.
For the second round, this time I tried their other soups, such as squash soup or locally known as Linutik and my very favorite Lutong Bahay which is pork sinigang.

The photo shown below is Tita Miriam holding her Moringa (or malunggay) Smoothie. It was very healthy and nutritious that one could hardly savor the bitter taste of malunggay because it was sweetened with honey and pineapple, I assumed.
For my third and last round, I chose fresh vegetable salad topped with fresh mango chunks as my dessert. Although there were plenty of vegetables to choose from but I preferred carrots and cucumber with a little of lettuce. There were also fried and sweetened wrapped banana or locally known as Toron and also piaya for desserts.

Although this was an 'out of the blue' lunch out, we were absolutely satisfied. In here, you can have as much food as you want without limitations because almost everything here are vegetables. It was quite unique and uncommon to dine in an open restaurant in the middle of the garden and livestock nearby. Likewise, this was indeed another venture for some city folks like us who usually dine in an air-conditioned restaurant and/or fast food in the middle of the city.
This is also an evidence that health conscious individuals are growing in numbers and I am loving the vegetarian way of life.
More stories to tell and pictures to share next time, God bless!
Truly, more fun in the Philippines!
