The Park and the Farm at May's Organic Garden

May's organic gardenA Quick Stroll At May's Organic Garden

We had an unplanned organic buffet lunch on the weekend because we knew there is a new restaurant at Pahanocoy, Bacolod City. This restaurant offers organic buffet lunch at reasonable cost. May's Organic Garden is famous for their vegetables freshly picked from their garden and organic meat directly from the farm just within the area.

Aside from the food, a spacious park is currently under construction although there are areas that are partially done and we, and the rest of the customers got the chance to roam around. Apart from the recreational park, a farm was built at the far end and some animal houses were under construction.
The photo above shows the large cottage near the entrance. I guess this is for large group for family gatherings or meetings. Likewise, a large area near the restaurant with array of tables where display of fresh vegetables, fruits, and some organic products are sold here.

The open restaurant
This is the open restaurant. We came in a little earlier than lunch time so we can have ample time to stroll around the area to ease our curiousness. From the restaurant, we can view the park's facilities and the farm houses. There were also curious individuals who dine with us.
The photo below shows the cute and colorful dwarfs stood at the back entrance of the restaurant. They seemed to welcome customers and by the look at them, who can resist their cute smiles and magical charms.

The Spacious Park

We admired the beautiful and playful physical aesthetics in front of the us. Good thing we brought a camera and capture every little and nice things we saw here. There are wooden benches and tables on the ground for customers who prefer outdoor lunch or coffee.
There is a wooden horse carriage near the parking area which becomes the favorite backdrop for picture taking especially the kids. There are also cottages for people who love to stay and dine in an exclusive place. Below are the still photos showing some of the park's facilities and structures.

There are also windmills in the area, however, this one stands out from the rest. It is the nearest windmill from the restaurant. Its radiant colors appear to be vibrant against the sun.

The pond is surrounded with concrete frog benches. Notice the eyes of the frog, a slight finishing touches is needed to make them totally ready for use.

The Farm

vegetables
The place also has farm, a source of some of their organic meat such as chicken, etc. Although there are areas under construction and farm houses not yet done, we did not hesitate to visit some areas of the field. I was not actually familiar of most of the vegetables growing here but I easily recognized the dwarf papaya and the giant sunflower I saw along the way. We also passed by some areas where different variety of newly planted vegetables were fenced in the same area.

Tita Miriam had already in mind a particular herb to buy but forgot to get it before we left

This is where the fowl animals and other farm animals are raised. As we approached the field, the fowl smell of the animals was quite tough, but that did not stop our curiosity to check the entire place. There are chickens of different breeds, peacocks, a number of sheep and goats in their respective farm houses.

This streamer was posted at the ground step of the back entrance of the restaurant. It is indeed very noticeable by counting on the number of customers who came in and dine with us on that day with family members and friends that this place is known to its great foods and breath taking place. The owner of the place seems to understand the demand of some of the city folks to unwind and experience a farm-like environment in the city. Nonetheless, the foods here are the main reasons why people of all walks of life come here. In here, to go green and healthy is directly associated with an incomparable recreational place and farm in the city.
More pictures to share and stories to tell next time! God bless, everyone!
Truly, more fun in the Philippines!

  2. hello, sorry for the late reply. When we went there, there was no entrance fee. During that time, everyone was free to move around maybe because most of the facilities were unfinished.
