Plazuela de Iloilo, Iloilo City

Hi everyone! Friends and I were so excited to stay overnight at Iloilo City from a summer vacation in Guimaras last April, 2012. We planned to go to Plazuela de iloilo and Smallville because it was the first time for most of us. Well, honestly it was my second time to be in Plazuela de Iloilo and first time in Smallville. But before that, we need to visit the San Jose Church, an Agustinian Church because it was Sunday.

At Plazuela de Iloilo, everyone were impressed by its main entrance or should I say lobby to the point that we forgot we were hungry and it was time for dinner. There was a nice and well-lighted fountain that seemed to welcome visitors positioned at the lobby.

We decided to have our dinner at Ponsyon by Breakthrough because we were informed they served the best foods in town.

Kadyos Baboy Langka of Ponsyon

Kadyos Baboy Langka or locally known as KBL was one of the course meals we ordered that night. Sincerely, it was the best KBL I ever tasted in my entire life! So I told myself, if I have to go back to Iloilo again, I will again try this KBL only at Ponsyon.

After having a very satisfying meal, we agreed to stroll around the busy and lively Plazuela. I apologize that I was not able to get a good shot of this area (left photo).

After our quick stroll, we decided to stop by Starbucks at the second floor to have some desserts and a tall size café mocha for an hour. After which, the group decided to to go bar-hopping around Smallville center. Please check my Smallville post.

We stayed overnight in Iloilo City from our Guimaras escapade because the group wanted to experience bar-hopping and the exciting late night entertainment in the city. I guess, everyone did not mind the tedious long trip we had from the Manggahan Festival in Guimaras for a particular reason: to feel the recent boom summer nightlife of Iloilo City. Truly, more fun in the Philippines!

Until next time, God bless!
